Following non-dilutive funding from Bpifrance in December 2025, TheraPPI closes a Pre-Seed equity round. Christopher Meyer joins the company as Independent Director and Chairperson of the Board. This additional financing and strengthening of its Board of Directors will enable the company to continue developing its lead programme targeting the ERK/MyD88 protein interaction in the Ras-MAPK pathway.
June 1, 2026 – Lyon, France and Geneva, Switzerland
TheraPPI Bioscience (“TheraPPI”), a preclinical biotech company, announced today the second closing of its Pre-Seed financing. Current shareholders, PULSALYS, FONGIT and new investors with extensive biotech experience have participated to this financing round.
TheraPPI will use the equity financing announced today to advance the development of its lead programme targeting ERK/MyD88, a protein interaction in the Ras-MAPK pathway, a drug target discovered by TheraPPI’s founders. Targeting ERK/MyD88 effectively dysregulates the Ras-MAPK pathway, enabling the cancer cell killing while bypassing cancer drug resistance mechanisms which are activated by current Ras-MAPK inhibitors.
TheraPPI also announced Christopher Meyer, J.D. & MBA, an executive in the pharma & biotech industry, joining the company’s Board as independent Director and Chairperson. Christopher brings over 20 years of international expertise covering Strategy, R&D, Business Development, Sales & Marketing, Operational Excellence and Digital Transformation.
“TheraPPI is pursuing a highly novel and promising approach to overcoming drug resistance—a challenge that currently frustrates companies targeting the Ras-MAPK pathway, which drives more than 40% of cancer cases. I am deeply honoured to support TheraPPI through its next stages of development” declared Christopher Meyer. “We thank our shareholders and new investors who see the unique potential of ERK/MyD88 targeted drugs and are thrilled to continue the development of our lead program and to prepare TheraPPI for future growth. Christopher will bring decisive support for this growth and future TheraPPI success”, added Luc Otten.

About TheraPPI drug programs:
TheraPPI’s first two programs target a MAPK protein interaction between ERK and MyD88, discovered by TheraPPI founders at the Centre de Recherche en Cancérologie de Lyon, France.
The prognosis of patients with advanced cancers remains poor, and up to 90% of cancer-related deaths are attributed to drug resistance. The Ras-MAPK signalling is hyperactivated in over 40% of human cancers, and MAPK-activating mutations are responsible for certain ultra-rare diseases. The efficacy of current Ras and MAPK Inhibitors is undermined by cancer resistance. Despite remarkable efficacy in treating certain ultra-rare diseases, MAPK Inhibitors are unable to provide cure.
TheraPPI’s lead program aims to achieve a high rate of clinical responses, overcome cancer resistance, and enhance the effectiveness of immunotherapies, ultimately offering a better prognosis for patients with advanced cancers.
Unlike pharma’s current focus on blocking the Ras-MAPK pathway, TheraPPI takes an innovative new route: dysregulating the pathway through a novel MAPK drug targeting the ERK/MyD88 protein interaction discovered by TheraPPI’s founders. The ERK/MyD88 interaction was described in an article published in Nature Communications in 2024 (https://www.nature.com/articles/s41467-024-51275-z).
